Are you a passionate and experienced Chef de Partie looking for an exciting opportunity to develop your career?

We’re looking for a skilled Chef to join the professional kitchen team at Oriel College, Oxford, where you’ll have the opportunity to prepare and cook high-quality food for a varied catering operation.

This is a busy and rewarding role, with catering covering regular college service as well as a range of events and functions.

The Role

As a Chef de Partie, you’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of high-quality food to a consistently high standard.

Working as part of the kitchen team, you’ll contribute to the smooth running of the catering operation and help maintain excellent standards of food, service, hygiene and safety.

The role offers a good variety of work, with opportunities to prepare food for different services and events across the college. You’ll be expected to work professionally, efficiently and consistently while maintaining the standards expected within a professional kitchen environment.

You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the wider kitchen operation.

About You

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Chef de Partie who can:

• Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality food


• Work consistently to a high standard


• Work effectively as part of a busy kitchen team


• Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards


• Work efficiently while maintaining quality


• Contribute positively to the catering operation


• Demonstrate good organisation and attention to detail


• Work professionally in a busy environment


• Develop their cooking skills and knowledge


• Take pride in delivering high-quality food and service

Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar professional kitchen environment is important. A relevant catering or professional cookery qualification would be advantageous.
