A talented and ambitious Junior Sous Chef required to join a premium, fresh food country pub in the heart of Penderyn. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a quality-driven kitchen that prides itself on seasonal menus, locally sourced produce and high standards throughout.

The successful Junior Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in leading service, maintaining consistency and mentoring junior team members. This is a hands-on role within a busy, well-established country pub known for quality food and a strong local reputation.
This position would suit either an established Junior Sous Chef or a strong Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up in a professional and structured kitchen environment.
Hours of work:
Full-time position, 40 hours a week with consecutive days off.
Due to the location in Penderyn, applicants must have their own transport.
Junior Sous Chef requirements:
- Experience as a Junior Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie within a fresh food kitchen.
- Confident running a section during busy service.
- High standards of presentation and consistency.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for fresh, seasonal food.
- Reliable, professional and career-focused.
Junior Sous Chef duties include:
- Supporting the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations.
- Leading sections during service.
- Assisting with menu development and seasonal changes.
- Training and mentoring junior chefs.
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.
