  • 40 hours over 5 days 

  • Open 6 days out of 7

Catering Services International are currently recruiting for a Head Chef on behalf of their client; a well established - family run Country Pub and Restaurant.  

The menu boasts home made meals from locally sourced suppliers, using only the freshest ingredients. 

We are looking for a Head Chef who has the ability to produce great food and also takes pride in motivating and building a successful kitchen team.  A traditional pub offering a range of real ales, freshly made coffee and an extensive wine and spirit list; locals feel right at home. 

You will come from a background of working with fresh produce. Experience of working in a successful family run pub would be preferred. Fresh ideas are welcomed here along with an enthusiastic approach to working in the hospitality industry.



As Head Chef you will be expected to work public holidays, including Christmas.

Responsibilities will include:


  • Day to day food service of significant quality

  • Menu creation and planning

  • Staff management, training and motivation

  • Control of costs and budgets and GP margins in the kitchen

  • Negotiation with suppliers

  • Kitchen Hygiene- ensuring 5 star rating is maintained

  • Systems compliance

  • Attendance of regular team meetings to discuss progress
