Duty Manager - Cardiff

Job Description

Our Client is seeking a hard-working, hands-on individual to mainly work evenings to support the event supervision at the venue. The venue is managed as a family business, the team i s small and you will be expected to multitask and work closely with others.

The basic shift pattern is Tuesdays 10.00 – 13:30 and Saturdays 14.30 – 01:00. Additional hourly work would be available within the business on an ad hoc basis, but this cannot be guaranteed. A willingness to work antisocial hours as the business dictates is essential.

This is not a standard venue or a standard job – duties will involve opening and closing of the bar and venue, hands on serving when required, maintaining the cleanliness of the bar and lines, managing and organising casual staff, supervising and being visible for clients at large events and generally ensuring all events are conducted in line with our policies. The ability to think quickly and calmly on your feet is mandatory!

What we are looking for;

• Past experience working with the public in a hospitality environment.
• Previous Bar Supervision / Management – PLH preferred.
• Great team player and motivator – a track record in a position of responsibility is essential.
• A full, clean drivers license and access to your own transport is essential.
• Excellent working references from former employers.
