Circa £22 – 24.5k per Annum

28 Days Holiday Per Annum

37.5 hours per week plus paid overtime as required

Small Independent Care Home Chain.

The Role

As Head Chef you would be responsible for managing the catering for the 38 residents of this high end care home, providing high quality breakfast, lunch and supper within dietary and budgetary restrictions to the residents and staff, complete paperwork and maintain the cleaning rotas.

This is a very hands on and client facing head chef position.  You will be expected to serve the guests and regularly discuss their dietary needs and preferences so that they are receiving the very best standard of nutrition.

The client is very particular as to appearance and dress codes as this is a very high end care home. You will ideally come from a restaurant or hotel background and be familiar with dietary needs. This head chef position would involve working 3.5 days per week on a rota and is a fantastic opportunity to obtain a better work/life balance.

What We Are Looking For

Successful chef candidates will preferably possess / be able to demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience in a Restaurant, Hotel or fine dining setting
• Qualified to minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent and possess a valid Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Ability to maintain the highest standards at all times and a keen eye for detail.
• Organised and hands-on to ensure optimal service to clients and staff.
• Great team player with strong work ethics.
• Excellent customer service skills as this is a very hands on, customer facing position.
• Excellent working references / recommendations from previous employers.
• Knowledge of dietary requirements in the healthcare sector
