Second Chef – Care Home - £20,000

Catering Services are recruiting for a 2 ^nd chef for a busy and rewarding care home in Cheltenham and Tewkesbury.

As 2nd Chef you will demonstrate creative flair, nutritional understanding and leadership skills, combined with a genuine interest in the people we support. Highly valued and popular with residents, families and staff, our chefs are key personalities within the home.

You will support and deputise for the Head Chef to ensure that all food not only looks and tastes delicious but also reflects the preferences and dietary requirements of each resident.

You will assist the Head Chef to design menus, manage all aspects of the kitchen, control the budget and lead the catering team.

A Basic Food Hygiene certificate is required and a catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706 1/2 or equivalent is ideally required for this role, as is experience in a similar position.

This role is 40 hours per week based across 4 days per week.

You will have a calm, pleasant and personable nature and have good communication skills.

Due to the nature of this role, the care home will process a DBS clearance for the successful applicant.
