The Company Picturesque, family run hotel, set in two acres of countryside in Sidmouth. With History and heritage across the site, this is certainly the place for a relaxed get away where long walks can be enjoyed at the beautiful National Trust site called The Byes which follows the River Sid.

The Role We are recruiting an experienced and confident Sous Chef to join this friendly kitchen brigade and assist in running this busy department.

The role of Sous Chef will include consistently producing a range of items to a high standard.  Previous banqueting and TDH experience essential as this property boasts a large number of ‘tout’ catering.  This Sous Chef role will suit a very strong Junior Sous Chef looking to take the next step in their career or an existing Sous Chef seeking a new challenge.

Successful Sous Chef applicants will have a strong knowledge of professional kitchens and experience of cooking with fresh produce. The successful Sous Chef will also assist in dish development and menu production and take charge of the kitchen when the Head Chef is away.  This is an amazing opportunity to work in a friendly establishment in a picturesque location!

• Organised and hands-on to ensure optimal service to customers and staff.
• Great team player and motivator with the passion to take autonomy for the kitchen.
• Excellent working references / recommendations from previous employers .
