Our client operates a beautiful gastro pub built in the 1800’s.  Located a short walk from Portishead marina, this traditional venue has an excellent reputation for quality food in particular their fish and chips. All food is fresh and is of only the best quality as they look to expand their restaurant to include a very high class fine dining experience, so here you can enjoy stunning food and panoramic views of the Severn Estuary.

The Role

We require a chef with flare who is looking for progression to come on board and take over Sous Chef responsibilities including running the kitchen in the absence of the head chef in this growing gastro pub. If you have zest and a passion for fresh food and high quality menus then this is the role for you. This position would suit a current Sous Chef looking for a new challenge in a busy growing business.

What we are looking for

·Have senior level experience in a gastro pub and be looking for progression

·Be passionate, hardworking and creative

·Be able to lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence

·Ability to create very high class fine dining menu’s when needed

·Have a knowledge of all kitchen procedures and finances
