Catering Supervisor
This beautiful wedding and private party venue, is currently looking for a Catering Supervisor to assist with all of their in-house catering requirements.
The venue is situated in Herefordshire at the foot of the Malvern Hills, and is extremely popular for weddings, team building events, private parties and location filming.
The Role
The Catering Supervisor role involves food preparation, service, food hygiene, staffing and ordering.
Main responsibilities:
- To cook and prepare breakfasts and all other in-house catering for castle guests
-To take orders at the table when required
- Serve food and drink as required
-To clear and wash up after preparing food and keep the catering areas clean and tidy
-To work weekends and early mornings
-To prepare simple lunches
-Monitor stock levels and order/buy all items required to produce the in-house catering menus
-Complete all food hygiene documentation
-Communicate with the Operations Manager to ensure adequate staff is booked for all in-house catering events
-Monitor all equipment used for in-house catering and advise on any damages or equipment needing replacing
-Recommending improvements to menus and processes
-Regularly meet with the Operations Manager
Secondary duties:
-To assist with other areas of the business to include:
- Working in our Visitor Centre selling entrance tickets to our visitors
- Assisting at weddings and events
- Waitressing at castle events
- Housekeeping
The successful Candidate
- The ideal candidate needs to be hard working, flexible, well presented, passionate about customer service and confident to serve guests. The position would be ideally suited to someone with previous catering experience although this is not essential.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is required.
Hours of work:
Minimum of 16 hours guaranteed per week, breakfast hours normally involve a 7.00am start and weekend work is essential. Due to the nature of the role the hours each week are inconsistent and some weeks will be up to 40 hours a week.
