Head Chef for a cafe in a busy Tourist Attraction outside of Cheltenham

Head chef benefits:

• Full time role 40-45 hours per week

Head Chef role:

Are you an experienced Sous Chef looking to take the step up in your first Head Chef Position? If so, then this could well be the next move for you. We are recruiting for a Client based in the stunning location of Winchcombe in Gloucestershire. We would like an aspiring Head Chef who could take the responibility Catering Team and support F&B Manager to produce the menu with some more exciting dishes. 

Head chef requirements

• Proven track record as an experienced Chef


• Great communication skills 


• Ability to travel to or relocate to the area 


• A great knowledge and understanding of fresh produce 


• Passionate about the food and service


• Great organisation skills

Main areas of responsibility

1. FOOD – work closely with F&B Manager to prepare the menus, stock and waste control, purchase of products and materials, food preparation.

2. FINANCE – work closely with F&B Manager to deliver pre-agreed budgets or report variances in a timely way. Closely control costs and continuously look at ways to sustainably grow profitability.

3. CREATIVE PLANNING- lead with creative ideas to ensure that the outlets are compelling and current. Develop products for the outlets that inspire customers to buy.

5. STAFF – motivate to create an efficient, flexible and happy working environment, rewarding where appropriate, thus fostering commitment, enthusiasm and confidence.

7. COMPLIANCE – Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly observed, recorded and archived, working closely with both internal and external support services.
