Chef Manager - Cheltenham

Job Description

Two primary Schools in Cheltenham, are currently seeking a Cook Manager in each. The catering teams are skilled in the art of transforming fresh, seasonal ingredients into nutritious home-cooked meals that support healthier lifestyles and enable children of all ages to perform at their best throughout the day.

The position will be responsible for preparing and cooking food for lunch service, managing the team, maintaining stock control and planning menus.

You will be directing and managing the school meals service, to ensure children receive their school meals, therefore it is essential that you have a strong understanding of the importance of Health and Safety as well as high standards of hygiene and a neat and tidy appearance.

You will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to lead and manage a team.

This position would be ideal for a strong Cook.

The successful Candidate will;

• Be computer literate


• Have City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ level 2 & 3


• Ideally have experience of volume, ideally in a School setting


• Good communication skills

• £12  per hour 


• 39 working weeks 4.7 weeks holiday 


• £15,732.00 per year 


• Monday - Friday 


• Shift pattern 8.30 am - 2.30 pm
