We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, who has an opening within their organisation for a Junior Sous Chef at their award winning, iconic restaurant in

They pride themselves on serving a unique, high quality product, which involves innovative vegetarian cuisine. The restaurant has a dedicated pastry section and offers a range of retail products and outside catering in addition to the restaurant service.
An ideal candidate would be energetic, motivated and passionate about producing fantastic food. You would be working with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to manage and supervise the busy kitchen and a large brigade.
Skills / Experience Required
§ Have experience as a Junior Sous Chef within a reputable kitchen.
§ Strong Managerial skills and experience supervising a large team of multi-skilled workers
§ Be ambitious and have the desire to succeed
§ Enjoy creating new dishes, have excellent food knowledge and an eye for detail
§ Be able to work under pressure, be an excellent communicator, organised and committed
§ Have a positive attitude and a passion for food and cooking
§ Be a hands on team player with a keen understanding of kitchen management
§ Have a history of solid proven cooking skills and the ability to follow precise recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation check lists.
§ Be fluent in English and eligible to work in the
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Hours: 2 days off a week, 48hrs, mainly straight shifts Holidays: 28 days Further benefits: An equal share of tips, meals on duty, uniforms provided, internal and external training and food and beverage discounts.
