Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Catering Manager to join this reputable school in Oxford. We’re looking for the right person to deliver first class fresh and nutritious food to the school’s pupils, staff, parents, and external visitors whilst providing a balanced and nutritious diet.
The post-holder will be required to deliver an exemplary hospitality and catering service to internal and external events and conferences, lettings and residential courses. Leadership by example is seen as a key skill for this role, as will the ability to manage change and operationally deliver excellence.

Experience & knowledge
-A minimum of 5 years experience of managing teams and all aspects of people management
-Budget management and preparation with excellent numeracy and literacy skills
-Managing purchases and external suppliers
-Experience of working to deadlines and flexibility in service delivery.
-Managerial experience in the provision of high volume, high quality catering or similar environment
-Experience of planning, organising and delivering events to a high standard

-Excellent customer care/service skills
-Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
-Proactive and innovative approach to problem solving and the delivery of the catering service
-Able to persuade, negotiate and influence others
Hours of work
A nominal, 42 hrs per week five days out of seven. The post holder will be required to be flexible by the nature of the role and the needs of the School as a 7 day/24 hour institution.
