Catering Assistant Job role

We are seeking experienced, profesisonal Catering Assistants or Dining Room Assistants, responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation and organisation in dining facilities. The key Catering Assistant duties include but are not limited to setting, clearing and cleaning dining areas, serving meals, washing dishes, disposing of waste, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The Catering Assistant will support cooks and kitchen staff by handling basic food preparation tasks and keeping the dining environment clean and orderly, contributing to the overall efficiency of the food service.

This is a full time, permanent position or ongoing contract, operating on a shift system to cover meal service and snack times. Shift patterns: Morning shift 05.00 – 14.00 / Day Shift: 1030 – 1930 / Mid Shift: 2000-0500.

Catering Assistant requirements

• Catering Assistants with previous proven experience in a commercial kitchen or contract catering environment


• Catering Assistant must have their own transport due to location of venue(s)


• This Catering Assistant role is based at military sites and subject to stringent security checks
