Breakfast Chef - Brighton

Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, who have an opening for an experienced Breakfast Chef within a stylish small hotel located in the heart of Kemptown. Straight shifts, 4 day week! 

Must be able to confidently work alone, cooking quality dishes to order as well as maintaining high food safety standards in the kitchen. The candidate must be a multi-talented and skilled individual with previous experience in a simular role.

The Package

• Salary: £11.00 per hour


• Days: 4 out of 7


• No split shifts, 3 day weekend (occassional weekend required to cover holiday)

The Role

As Breakfast Chef you will be responsible for the opening and set up of the kitchen on a daily basis and catering for up to 70 covers, as well as prep for the main menu. You will need to be reliable, enjoy early shifts and be able to work unsupervised. The Breakfast Chef would be responsible for ordering, stock rotation, fridge temperatures and clearing down.

A suitable candidate would:

• Have previous experience as a breakfast chef (prepare, assemble and cook breakfast/ lunch menu dishes)


• Abilitiy to confidently work alone


• Possess professional cooking / hospitality qualifications, and Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2


• Assist in general cleaning of the kitchen, whilst maintaining high standards of hygiene


• Happy to work independently or as part of a team


• Have a positive, can-do attitude and great time management so as to cope with busy periods
