A professional, conscientious Housekeeper required to work alongside a conservation focused, small, private household. This is a fantastic environment to work in.

- Stunning property situated close to Stow-on-the-Wold in the Cotswolds. The estate consists of: Elizabethan manor house, pool house, garage complex, cottages, store rooms and gardens, all upheld to an exceptional standard. The successful Housekeeper will work alongside the Head Butler, Assistant Butler, two existing Housekeepers and a four-person gardens department.
Hours of work: The employers are in residence for no more than four months of the year, often for several weeks at a time. During these times, housekeepers work one of two shifts: 8am - 4.30pm and 1pm - 9pm Monday to Friday, with only very occasional weekend work required. When the employer is not in residence, there is one shift of 8am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Due to the location, applicants must have a full driving license and use of a vehicle.

Security clearance: This position requires candidates to present an in-date Basic DBS check before an in-person interview. This can be organised for you.
Housekeeper requirements:
- Experience with either direct knowledge of private service or transferable skills from hospitality.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Dependable, security-conscious and integrity-driven.
- Hands-on and proactive.
- Happy to work on their own as well as part of a small, close-knit team.
- Flexible, obliging and amenable. The work landscape is set out on a shared to-do list, and all staff are expected to be proactive in the management of their duties.
- Happy to work on the same level as the existing Housekeepers, working to a system that currently works well. There is no hierarchy amongst the Housekeepers, with the team looking to the Head Butler for direction.
Housekeeper duties include:
- Upkeep of rooms including refreshes, turn-downs and major cleans.
- Conservation-grade dusting and care of expensive items.
- Inventory management and rotations, including wardrobes and stores.
- All-round laundry care.
- Weekly florist duties when principals are in residence.
- Candle making.
- Managing deliveries.
- Care of the household beloved dog.
- Liaising between house and gardens staff across the Estate.
- Very occasional assistance with everyday dining and drinks service.
